A customer walked into a coffee shop to order a cup of coffee. Before ordering, he asked the barista how long it had been since the coffee had been brewed. She didn't know but was willing to come get him when she brewed a fresh pot.
We've all heard about global warming and the problems it may create. We're aware that it could cause severe weather, melting glaciers and raising sea level. Most people live in the city though and when living in the city, it's easy to ignore the weather.
I recently gave a farm tour for a workshop about coffee farming. The class was attended by several Kona coffee farmers, some with quite a bit of farming experience. They didn't believe me when I said I do all the work myself and they unanimously decided that I need some full-time help.

The two warriors are my 6 month old kitten and my Hawaiian Kona plant. The plant is doing it's best to stay alive outside of Hawaiian soil and the kitten is doing her best to rip every leaf off.
