From 2000 until 2008 Peter Morrissey was Foreman/Manager of a large Coffee Plantation in the hills just behind Byron Bay, Australia. During these 8 years he was in charge of completely rebuilding 3 old Austoft Coffee Harvesters [to AS new condition], driving the coffee harvester each season, Managing a seedling nursery capable of growing 160,000 young trees per anum, Setting up other plantations both in Australia and overseas, Advising on fertilizer requirements and application techniques [Irrigation also], Installation of coffee processing plants starting from pulping fresh cherry and finishing at the roaster [also a licensed Electrician], The Equipment was installed throughout Australia /New Caledonia/Vietnam and Vanuatu, He also was involved in the design and manufacture of coffee hullers and other coffee equipment locally made in Australia, as well as the day to day running of the coffee plantation [weed control etc].
