Name: Caffeinated Magazine Localized ContentThe Caffeinated Magazine is a must-read for coffee addicts. Like INeedCoffee's Coffee on the Road series, caffmag.com highlights coffee on the local level. They feature a list of cafe reviews from almost every state in the Union; many of the reviews have pictures. For example, before visiting San Jose, I learned that I could get my fix at Cafe Matisse, but that I should look out for overzealous cops who issue tickets for jaywalking. That's just the kind of great, localized information that caffmag provides.
Monthly FixCaffeinated Magazine has been releasing content on a monthly basis since 1997. What I'm missing is an email newsletter that would act as a reminder to go back to the site. But, on the occasion when I've missed a month, catching up brought a smile to my face - just like an extra shot in my latte. CorrespondentsCaffeinated Magazine has a great crew of writers, a.k.a "correspondents." Their voices provide a wide spectrum of viewpoints. I feel as if I know some of the more regular writers: Maya Drozdz has a professional journalist tone while Mel Farran's indefatigable humor makes me laugh and Grandma Linda really is the "resident curmudgeon." All of these correspondents gather around caffmag.com like a group of pals in a coffee shop. SummaryCaffeinated Magazine has a clean layout, a clear vision and understandable navigation. This is so much more than can be said for other coffee sites. As a regular reader of caffmag.com, I can recommend it highly, and as a part of INeedCoffee.com I'm proud to award Caffeinated Magazine the November 2000 Site of the Month Award. |
